Kenny Scharf explores contemporary social themes in his unique brand of pop-surrealism. Known for reflecting the vocabulary of his youth, a TV child of the sixties, Scharf combines cartoon imagery with art history. His work conveys sheer fun and creation with a serious side, making a connection between the fantastic and the real world.
His work has been used for marketing campaigns by Absolut and product lines by Swatch and Movado. He has also collaborated with Cartoon Network to create the animated film “The Groovenians.”
