Maripol / Artestar

Maripol’s work as an artist and designer has influenced
popular movements in music, fashion, and art since the
early 1980s. She was the founder of Maripolitan Popular
Objects Ltd., a fashion accessories company, which also
designed merchandising for Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”
tour. She served as the fashion director for Fiorucci and
launched the company’s first jewelry collection. Maripol
has also art directed films and music videos for Keith
Haring, Cher, Elton John, and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
